MY CREATIVE PROCESS:

It always starts with the client. Every face is a blank canvas, but the goal is never to make everyone look the same, it’s to bring out what makes each person unique. If I’m given complete creative freedom, I’m pretty fearless and love exploring new ideas. If there’s a creative brief, I enjoy that challenge just as much and pride myself on executing the vision exactly as intended.
I also love collaboration. Throughout my career I’ve mentored and managed hundreds of makeup artists, leading backstage teams of up to 100 artists during Fashion Week. Helping others elevate their work is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

WHEN NOT WORKING:

Outside of work, I’m passionate about architecture, art, and interior design. I’ve restored a few architectural homes in Los Angeles, and I love everything about the creative process, from preserving original details to designing spaces that feel timeless. Music and yoga are also a big part of my life and help me recharge between projects.

BORN AND RAISED:

I grew up in San Salvador, El Salvador, before moving to the United States. My career has since taken me all over the world, and those experiences have given me a deep appreciation for different cultures, aesthetics, and approaches to beauty.

PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW:

My published work not only comes from my makeup work but also from my interior/house design work.  Also, people are often surprised that I genuinely enjoy being in front of the camera as much as behind it. Whether it’s television, live education, or speaking to audiences of 25,000 people, I love communicating ideas, teaching, and inspiring others. It’s become one of my favorite parts of my career.
